The Skills Pass
The Skills Pass is a verification process initiated by the Government of Malta that allows skilled individuals in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry to gain recognition for their skills and be able to work in Malta in this industry.
The Skills Pass Process
The verification process is split into two phases.

Phase One
Candidates will register on the online platform. Once registered they will be able to purchase the necessary online verification modules that will need to be completed to work in Malta. These include workan English Proficiency Test, Basic Maltese Tourism Product course and exam, Essential English for Hospitality course and exam, Basic Customer Care course and exam as well as verification in their chosen field of work.

Phase Two
Once phase one is successfully completed and the certificate has been issued, the candidate will be able to apply for an online verification interview (taking place at your nearest VFS centre or at ITS in Malta) where an assessor will be able to verify the skills shown in phase one.
The verification processes will verify the minimum basic level required to work in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Malta.
